I intended to use these lights to replace some aging low-voltage lights along my driveway. I am probably going to remove them and re-use them around my back patio and landscaping as accent lighting.

The good: They are very easy to set up and install. I bought some electrical conduit and cut it to around a 6" length and then buried it. The lights can then easily slide into the conduit and be removed for grass cutting.

The bad: The lights are too large and plastic-y looking. They do not have a quality appearance. The light they give off is too dim. (Much less than the 10v lights they replaced.) They light only for a couple of hours. Certainly not long enough to be useful. They seem to come on only when it is really dark, so they don't provide any light at dusk. Also, one of the lights has never worked at all.

Verdict: I would not buy these again, or recommend them, except maybe for a distant spot where reliable, attractive and useful lighting is not really necessary.

This is a quality product, however, we were surprised to see that the spikes that go into the ground were at least 4 inches shorter than other quality solar light sets we have purchased. This makes it difficult for them to stand up without falling over. We are still working with it and thinking that we will have to dig small holes to get it into the ground at the right depth. A positive discovery was that the LED lights are yellow so have a much softer glow than the harsh white...very nice.
